ICA Bremen will deliver two of its popular training courses next year in Germany; ‘Learning about Machinery’ and ‘Classing & Testing’ training.
The two-day ‘Learning about Machinery’ training course will be delivered in association with the Deutsche Institute für Textil- und Faserforschung Denkendorf (DITF), Germany’s largest centre of textile research. This training will take place from 16-17 May at DITF in Denkendorf, Germany.
DITF’s Dr.-Ing Sibylle Schmied said; “DITF is the only textile research facility in Europe to cover the entire production and value chain of textiles on an area of more than 25,000 m². The industrial-scale pilot plants enable application-oriented research across the entire textile production chain at one location.
The Learning about Machinery training will give attendees an overview of the entire textile process needed to make a fabric out of bales. It covers areas such as spinning, weaving, knitting, nonwovens, finishing & functionalization and garment manufacturing. In addition to the presentations, there will be a focus on the latest DITF research in the relevant areas and an explanation of processes directly on the machines – which should be a unique and valuable experience for participants.”
The six-day ‘Cotton Classing & Testing’ training will take place from 5-12 June in Bremen, Germany.
Axel Drieling of ICA Bremen, explains: “Our Classing & Testing training consistently receives positive feedback and we have developed next year’s programme to keep the standard high. The training will cover a series of modules delivered by ICA Bremen; from classifying various growths of cotton to practical HVI training on the latest equipment – including Uster 1000 and Premier ART2.
The training for instrument testing combines knowledge about the cotton properties, their measurement and how to assure reliable test results with practical testing and quality management experience in the laboratory, including analysis of testing data. Test results from thousands of measurements from all cotton producing countries will be used to apply this knowledge – making it fully comprehensive.”
These training courses are aimed at individuals who wish to gain an in-depth knowledge in cotton classing, testing and textile machinery. Delegate places are limited so early booking is advised.
ICA Bremen will also be delivering a new, ‘Understanding Cotton’ training course next year aimed at retailers – dates will be announced soon.
