ICA Bremen Welcomes Intercoton Participants for Advanced Cotton Training

ICA Bremen recently had the pleasure of hosting a group of enthusiastic participants from Intercoton, Ivory Coast, for an intensive training course on cotton classing and HVI (High Volume Instrument) testing. The training, held from May 27th to May 31st, 2024, provided an invaluable opportunity for participants to enhance their knowledge and skills in the cotton industry.

The training welcomed Diarrassouba Piagna-Hady, Soro Navi Emmanuel, and Tuo Donipiession Drissa, who traveled all the way from Ivory Coast to join us in Bremen. These participants brought with them a wealth of experience and a keen interest in advancing their expertise in cotton quality testing.

Leading the training were two of ICA Bremen’s esteemed experts, Jens Wirth and Axel Drieling. Both Jens and Axel have extensive backgrounds in cotton testing and research, ensuring that participants received top-tier instruction throughout the course.

The training course was designed to cover a comprehensive range of topics crucial for professionals in the cotton industry. Key highlights of the training included:

  • Cotton Classing Techniques: Participants were introduced to advanced techniques in cotton classing, enabling them to accurately assess the quality of cotton fibres.
  • HVI Testing: The course provided hands-on training in High Volume Instrument testing, a critical process for determining the quality and consistency of cotton fibres on a large scale.
  • Quality Assurance: Emphasis was placed on maintaining high standards of quality assurance in cotton testing, ensuring that participants are equipped to uphold the integrity of their results.
  • Practical Sessions: Practical sessions allowed participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge, reinforcing learning through real-world scenarios.
