ICA Bremen Introduces the Mesdan CONTEST-S for Advanced Cotton Stickiness
ICA Bremen is pleased to announce that the Mesdan CONTEST-S is now available for cotton stickiness testing, bringing advanced thermomechanical stickiness measurement technology to its cotton testing services.
With the introduction of this new system, ICA Bremen offers an even more accurate, efficient, and sustainable approach to cotton stickiness testing, further strengthening its position as a leading reference centre for stickiness measurement.
The Mesdan CONTEST-S delivers highly reliable and repeatable results through advanced thermomechanical analysis. The method analyses 10 metres of thin, evenly formed card web for each sample, performs five repeat measurements per customer sample, measures the size of every individual stickiness point, and significantly reduces laboratory operator influence.
Key benefits of the Mesdan CONTEST-S include:
- Efficient testing, with shorter testing times and lower operating costs than the SCT.
- A more sustainable process, eliminating the intensive use of aluminium foil and reducing laboratory waste.
- Clear, practical reporting, providing actual Spinning Risk Probabilities based on measured stickiness grades
- Comparable results with other established thermomechanical stickiness measurement methods, including SCT and H2SD, ensuring continuity and confidence.
The introduction of the Mesdan CONTEST-S reflects ICA Bremen’s ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable testing solutions for the global cotton industry.
